Shooting Straight Radio
Welcome to Shooting Straight Radio podcast!! This program (formerly known as "Shooting Straight Radio Show" on WMMB and iHeartRADIO) is all about firearms, the 2nd Amendment, and all things pertaining thereto. It is hosted by Royce, a veritable super-spreader of Constitutional propriety as well as a firearms instructor with multiple certifications, including endorsement by the National Association of Chiefs of Police as a defensive pistol instructor. It has been said that he is saturated with gunshot residue, toxic masculinity, and a faint, yet wildly tantalizing whiff of the cologne of his people (Hoppe's #9) as he delivers his unexpurgated commentary on all things firearm and 2nd Amendment-related with 100% felt recoil and no suppressor. As an Ultra-Type-A personality, he is exceedingly generous (and sometimes comically brutal) with his opinions and doesn't mince words. A staunch Constitutionalist, he calls out infringements when and where he sees them. Royce is often joined on the program by special guests like Dale Comstock (DELTA Force), John Rea (SEAL Team 6), Max Mullen (Army Ranger), Quentin Carter (a.k.a. "Q"), Gary O'Neal (American Warrior), Boon Benton (USMC, Benghazi warrior), Sarah "Superbad" Adams (CIA Target Analyst), Col. Danny McKnight (Black Hawk Down), Izzy Matos (USMC combat vet), Ash Hess (U.S. Army combat veteran and instructor extraordinaire), Massad Ayoob, Hank Hayes (Professor Emeritus of Badassology), Spike Cohen (spikecohen.com), ATF whistleblower Peter Forcelli, Erich Pratt and Luis Valdes of GOA, and many more. So tune in to Shooting Straight (a.k.a. 2nd Amendment University) and share it around with your fellow Constitutionalists. Keep your head on a swivel, keep a loaded gun on your person (and spare mags), and never forget that incoming rounds always have the right-of-way.

Road Rage, Child Guardians and Civil Suits
First, Royce answers a message to the program via the "Send Us A Text" button (top left!) regarding a road rage incident in his home county.
Next: Violent crime and murder have risen in both Colorado and Washington State, unsurprisingly after they both banned "assault weapons".
Then, on to Texas, where the Guardian Program is being ramped up to protect innocent life in their schools, but the author of the article stupidly listed all the schools that were NOT protected by the Guardian Program! WHY??
Then, Connecticut has adopted New Jersey's communist gun laws that enable gun stores to be sued civilly so as to remove any Constitutional protections. Insidious!!

Yeah, I remember those days very fondly on WMMB live for seven years and got to
take calls from people that would call in literally from all over the world. And it
was a great program. And he goes on to say it's a far better and more
informational show than the marijuana show they have there on Saturdays.
I had the two to four slot Saturday afternoons. And apparently there's a show about
weed that has now taken that slot. Apparently it's not as informative as mine.
Well, I'm glad to hear that. He says, uh, Anyway, I was hoping you could touch on
a topic that constantly runs through my head, and that is what turns a good person
bad, relating to the Second Amendment, obviously. I had an incident happen that I
have extrapolated in my head a thousand different ways, and I always end up feeling
like I was the one at fault because I didn't break the law. Well,
you should ever feel like that if you did not break the law then you know that's
something you can rest easy about as far as I'm concerned. He goes on to talk
about this incident he had. He said while driving on a long local double yellow
road that is a double yellow line road and that is the St. John's Heritage Parkway
in West Melbourne area he said during the dawn to dusk hours I constantly get
passed while doing the posted speed limit, even by squad cars. Well,
that's very telling. One time, someone passed me, or passing me, matched my speed,
rolled down their passenger window, and started yelling and waving a gun at me.
When I saw that, I immediately slowed down so they could get around me and took
the next turn off the main road to avoid any conflict. Hey, I'll tell you right
now, you get an A -plus from me. You avoided conflict.
You took steps to remove yourself from the dangerous situation. Good for you.
That's it. Again, A -plus, man. I'm telling you right now. He said, "Now I'm at a
crossroad because I either need to break the law regarding speed Or take the long
way to work in fear of having something worse happening while driving. I always do
the right thing, so breaking the law, any law, is not what I'll be doing. But
considering the stranger, it may have been just an idle threat, but that's not how
I took it. Well good, you should never take any threat as an idle threat. Believe
them. Believe what they say they're going to do or what they are showing you they
want to do, like brandishing a weapon, which is going to imply, obviously, that they
want to employ it against you. Yeah, when you see that, you take that very
seriously. Don't discard it. Don't say, well, he's probably just bluffing. No,
don't, don't know. A lot of people have been shot thinking the person was just
bluffing. There's a lot of video that shows stuff like that. So he said if this
person was one caught passing on a double yellow line by officers and then then
what could have happened to the officer considering the willingness of the perp to
break the law? Well good question but you still should have called him and I don't
know did you say you did? Always make a report if somebody points a gun at you
make report, uh, get any kind of pertinent information, even if you can't see the
tag start, uh, okay, it's a Ford F 150 or a Chevy Silverado. It's white. It was
westbound at this time, blah, blah, blah. Uh, they can find people pretty easy now,
judging by the pings on their phones. So yes, make a report and,
uh, let the police handle that, but do make a report. How many other people is
this guy going to threaten? Well, I think you and I both know that probably ain't
his first time he's ever done something like that. So I hope you were armed. I got
a feeling that you were because you listened to this program, which it's all about
bearing arms. But there's no telling what the officer could have faced, but still
report it. Okay, he said second, what would have happened to the suspect had the
officer seen them waving a gun at the and then it cuts off there because as I
said the apparently there's a limited number of characters that you can use on the
send us a text button and that's where it cut off but let me just say this
regarding all of this apparently you know I'm not sure why this person felt the
need to threaten you with a gun even if I don't care if you were on 95, you
know, we're six lanes and you were committing Florida's unpardonable sin of driving
too slowly in the left -hand lane, he didn't have any right to do that to you.
No one has a right to point a gun at you unless you are presenting yourself as a
threat to them. And vice versa, if he presented a threat to you,
now you had every right to respond, "You've made the best response." I will tell
you that right now. You immediately begin to extract yourself from the immediate
vicinity of that threat. Brother, amen again. A plus all day long.
So that's the best thing you can do. If he had followed you,
that could have changed the
I mean, but I will tell you this, in avoiding you possibly, you very possibly saved
two lives. You possibly saved his life, maybe even yours, 'cause you guys might have
shot each other, or you could have shot him in self -defense and then ended up in
the justice system, for God knows how many years and how many tens of thousands of
dollars to exonerate you and prove that it was just self defense. Again,
never assume any threat is an idle threat. Don't assume that. Just assume if he
says, if he's waving a gun and he's making all the gesticulations of an angry
person, count that as a threat and get away from it. If he follows you, then
that's on him. Also, he could have been charged with brandishing had there been a
police officer in the vicinity. I mean, that's a minimum. That's a minimum.
Brandishing, he's waving a gun out the window. There's only one reason you would do
that. It's not to show your pretty new gun to some stranger. You know, hey, I just
bought this, check this out. That's not why people hang guns out the window. Hanging
guns out the window is a clear intention to intimidate you in some way,
shape, or form. So he could have been charged with brandishing if he actually
pointed it in your direction. He could have gotten an aggravated assault with a
deadly weapon. Too bad you didn't get a tag number on this dude or a video of
them, but I'm glad you're safe. And again, kudos. You did the right thing by
extracting yourself. As for violating the speed limit and not wanting to do that, I
want to tell you right Now you could easily articulate it to any law enforcement
officer why you were speeding if you can simply say that person was a threat right
there or I had that truck that I went around that guy was waving a gun at me and
that's totally understandable then that you would have to maybe hit the gas or the
brake as you did and get yourself out of the danger zone. That's easily explainable.
I don't think they could really fault you for that. And besides a $300 ticket,
even if they did, nail you for speeding. A $300 ticket beats years worth of
litigation and untold thousands of dollars trying to, again, be exonerated for
shooting some idiot that threatened you with deadly force. And it's also cheaper than
a funeral. So I want you to do two things. I want you to invest in a dash cam
for future incidents, front and rear, if you can afford it, but invest in a dash
cam or in some sort of a hold or you can record things on your phone and with
the push of a button, make it rear facing or forward facing and you could have got
that person's ID, that person's tag and he could be sitting in the pokey right now.
Also one more thing and I'm going to let you go. Do you have carry insurance?
Check it out at US Law Shield or CCW Safe. Those two are my favorites.
Check them out and get yourself some carry insurance. That way you have automatic
legal representation in the event that you do have to pop some idiot who's waving
his gun out the window and pointing at you and enforcing you to make a life or
death split second decision and you have to smoke him like a bag of weed at a
Snoop Dogg concert, okay? All right, also, Henry, in Tom's River,

I've been starting out the program, well, not starting out the program, formatting
the program in a more broad content format.
Multiple issues that will address each program, rather just focus on one or two
different issues. I mean, I love to really wring out every fact that I can, but I
feel that I am not bringing everything out that I can can and should to you,
my audience. So I'm going to be dealing with multiple stories. They may or may not
all gel together, but I do believe they're important for us to take note of.
Okay? Let's start with a story out of Louisiana. Now I'm going to reach back into
my younger days and tell you, I mean, I was one of them people that was either in
the woods or in the water. That, that was me. That's what I did. And I used to
go frogging. Frogging was something I really enjoyed doing. I, if I didn't, if I
didn't have, or if I couldn't find, which was usually the case, my frog gig, we
usually got left in my buddy's boat. Um, I would make my own gig. I remember one
time taking a piece of one by three and hammering three long finished nails into
the end of it. And then taking a hacksaw and cutting the heads off of those things
at a sharp angle and then finishing up the point with a file.
And that was my gig and it worked just great. It was about eight feet long so I
could get down deep in the ditch. I would shine them and stab them. I'd pull them
up out of there and I would always take my flashlight.
I made sure I had extra batteries in my pocket because getting caught out there on
a no moon night in Florida in the swamp is never a good idea. But we would shine
them and we would gig them and frog legs that you have caught and cleaned yourself
have a flavor that restaurant frog legs just can't duplicate. And it's the same
thing with catching your own fish and hunting your own game. It just tastes better
because of the effort you put into it. Now because we were out in late hours of
the night because nothing good ever happens after midnight and because it made us
feel a lot safer because there were multiple things and dangers out there in the
swamp and other areas that we could face. Most of them were four -legged or no
-legged, the ones you know, slither around and bite you, but we would always be
carrying pistols with us. And it was the smart thing to do.
I don't care who you are, if you'll feel better having a pistol on your side, if
you're walking out into a dark area, even better than that is making sure you've
got plenty of illumination. But also, some of y 'all know what I'm talking about.
When I say that in a Florida swamp at night, You just might hear some strange
things that you cannot explain and they're going to start creating all kinds of
visuals in your head, you know, like when you're camping and there's a raccoon
walking around outside your tent and it sounds exactly like, you know, like five
guys with an axe. You know what I'm talking about? Your brain takes off with your
imagination and you start wondering what the heck that is, But there are some
strange things out there, some strange sounds. And some of you that have been in
the swamp a few times out here, down here in Florida, you know what I'm talking
about. You start hearing things that you have never heard before and nothing in your
memory can be associated with the sounds that you're hearing. How about loud knocking
on trees? And you know like off to your left and then off to your right. Yeah.
Yeah. You ever heard that? Oh Even blood curdling screams that seem to come out of
nowhere You sit there and ask who is out here at this hour of the night screaming
like that There's not to mention the bellow of a big old bull gator that that'll
rattle you real quick Especially if he's close by So the whole point I'm making is
you didn't go frogging without a pistol. That was just out of the question. Well,
in Louisiana, of all places, they were told because of a law that was passed,
that they could not go frogging at night with firearms, and they banned the bearing
of arms if you were frogging. Well, I know Louisiana got some pretty tough critters,
but I don't think their frogs are much to worry about. But, uh, no, I'm just
kidding. Um, but yeah, the frogs that go, go in frogging without a pistol.
That's just unheard of. No one's taking a gun out there to hunt the dad gun frogs.
They're out there, uh, to hunt the frogs with a gig or whatever else they use, a
trap or whatever, uh, the guns are for protecting them against other things that are
definitely out there and other things that just might be out there. So here's an
article from unfiltered with Karen, K -I -R -A -N. He said,
the title is, "In Louisiana, you can now take your gun while frogging at night."
Yeah, I got news for you. That was probably the most commonly violated law in
Louisiana.
I promise you them, them Cajun boys, wasn't out there after dark without a firearm.
I know some of them boys from those parts, now they've always got a firearm on
them. Even if it's a little 22 Magnum in their pocket, they got something that'll
shoot you, okay? Here's the article. It's now legal to take your firearm while
hunting frogs at night in Louisiana. Act 109 by Senator Eddie Lambert,
a Republican from Gonzales, Louisiana, repealed a prohibition on carrying a rifle
shotgun or other firearm while frogging after the sun goes down. The law change went
into effect August 1st. Lambert said the firearm ban was likely unconstitutional and
here's where the writing, When I read something and somebody writes something in such
a way that betrays their ignorance about an issue, it drives me crazy and launches
me in that direction. And right now is no different.
Lambert said the firearm ban was likely unconstitutional after state lawmakers expanded
gun rights a few years ago and allowed firearms to be carried in more location.
Number one, state lawmakers don't have any authority to diminish or expand a right
and the free exercise thereof. They don't have that kind of authority.
The Constitution says they don't have that kind of authority. Their own Constitution
says they don't have the authority to diminish so they don't have the authority to
expand gun rights. They may have gotten out of the way of the free exercise and
taken off some of the restrictions that they had illegally piled on the free
exercise, but no, they didn't expand anything. And I guess it was a few years ago
and they allowed firearms to be carried in more locations. I want to know who the
heck they were to restrict the carry of firearms in those locations in the first
place. What constitutional authority can they point to? That was a rhetorical
question. The article continues, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries
asked Mr. Lamberg to carry the legislation to undo the restriction over concern that
it conflicted with other state laws. Well, I'm happy to see law enforcement step up.
I'm hoping they did it for the Constitution. Of course, it says they were concerned
about conflicting with other state laws. But hey, I'll give them the benefit of the
doubt for now. How about that? Lambert, an attorney, also owns vacation cottages in
Pierre Park, you know where Troy Landry's at, and takes guests on frog hunts.
And Mr. Lambert said catching frogs is one of my favorite activities. I'll tell you
what, eating them is pretty darn good too. Lambert said guns aren't used to hunt
frogs. The prohibition was likely put in place to deter people from illegally hunting
deer at night. Did you catch that? Yeah, based simply on the unlawful actions of a
minute few, the state zoomed itself to possess the authority to issue blanket
prohibitions across the board on the free exercise of everybody's rights after sundown
if they were frogging.
Yeah, well, you know, if somebody really wanted to poach deer, a bow and arrow is
a lot more quiet and, you know, and they didn't say nothing about that, did they?
So I doubt this Abition actually put a dent in any poaching that was going on out
there. Uh, by the way, have you ever heard of a suppressor? Okay Lambert said
people who had rifles with them to shoot deer could in theory claim They were
hunting frogs when caught by state wildlife and fisheries agents. Okay,
this is where my ludicrous meter just pegs that that would state wildlife agents
really be totally unable to discern and arrest somebody on suspicion of poaching.
Let's say they're carrying a 270 or a 30 ought six, but they claim they're hunting
frogs. Do you really expect me to believe that a wildlife It says, well, I guess I
had to take him out his word. He was hunting frogs with a 30 -odd six and wasn't
much left up. And I mean, matter of fact, I think they might've found a toe or
two, but hey, he can hunt them if he wants to. Bull fertilizer,
come on. That's absurdity, my word. Lambert said the bat on guns while frogging
could pose a safety concern, especially when it's dark, well, especially when it's
dark indeed. There's all kinds of things that slither and crawl and creep around and
walk around after dark that you should not be out there messing with. He says,
"You're coming back to a landing at night, that is a boat landing. Nobody's around.
You never know if you will be accosted," he said. Yeah, not to mention the plethora
of other critters in Louisiana that can kill you. Yeah, the big toothy lizards that
swim around out there, you know, where Troy Landry said, "Jodum! Jodum! Jodum !" You
know, yeah, those things, by the way, wild, wild hogs,
they have no problem killing you and eating you alive. Well, they would do it. They
wouldn't think twice about it. You know, your screams wouldn't mean nothing to them
while they're disemboweling you with their tusk and ripping your guts out and
munching down on them. I tell you, there's also Panthers here in Florida.
There's also Panthers in Louisiana. There's all kinds of things that can kill you.
So why should you be forced to be a defenseless victim and waiting simply because
you're going frogging? Makes all kinds of sense. Let's shift gears Now,
I want to point out a couple of posts by ammo land that were made on X recently.
And it proves the futility of gun control, you know, a lot like gun control that
keeps you from carrying a gun while you're frogging.
Recent gun control being passed, I will tell you this, it usually has an immediate
effect as soon as it is signed into law and it has a detrimental effect for the
good people or the bad people, okay? Usually it has a detrimental effect on the
free exercise of the right to keep and bear arms. Bad people always find a way
around. When you start inhibiting the free exercise of the right to keep and bear
arms, bad things start to happen and they literally began to happen immediately.
Now you've heard me talk about various gun control laws being passed in Colorado
recently, the assault weapons ban and all sorts of other garbage, not to mention
other laws they were passing on the heels of that that the state can take your
children if you don't, what should I say? If you don't make them, if you don't
affirm their gender for them, or if you don't use their chosen pronouns.
But what has happened then since Colorado passed these,
oh, I guess dozens of gun laws over the past decade? Here are,
I'm gonna read them verbatim, are some posts by Ammo Land, whereas Colorado has
passed dozens of gun laws in the last decade and gun deaths went up,
not down. Oh, that's a given for me. That's an automatic.
That's axiomatic. That is a constant that is too bold and glaring to ignore.
In 2014, Colorado reported 86 gun homicides.
In 2023, the most recent year with available data,
237 people were killed with guns in homicides. Gee,
gun control really works, doesn't it? How's that working out there for you, Colorado?
They continued all of the restrictive gun control measures adopted over the past
decade had not reduced gun -related violent crime, shocking. Colorado isn't the only
place where gun control laws have not fulfilled their promises, you know, like that
snake oil we've been talking about. And violent crime has increased rather than
decreased. In Washington state, with the passage of gun control initiative 594 in
2014, the annual body counts just crept upward until 2022 and 2023.
In 2015, 209 people were murdered in Washington state,
apparently by firearms. Either that or people murdered just by evil people and they
could have defended themselves with a firearm. And by 2022, that count had risen to
almost 400 slaves, 394 to be exact. By 2023,
the number had fallen to 376 homicides, but it remains higher than in pre -pandemic
years. Now, again, we already knew this would be the result of strict gun control.
This is just that this is just the dynamic that goes into effect whenever you
disarm law -abiding responsible people. You automatically make them pray for the not
just those in the street criminal element, but for those in the elected official
criminal element, we knew it would happen. It always does. If you weaken the
citizenry, the violent criminals begin to prey upon them, and that is just a dynamic
that you may not escape. Be right back with more shooting straight. Don't go
anywhere because all of the Listener Retention squads are on standby.

Before the break, we were talking about the lack of efficacy of gun control to
actually reduce crime. And it actually does the exact opposite. I mean, any idiot
with Google can see that all of the most violent cities, especially those with all
the gun violence, happen to be blue cities. That is, they are run by Democrat
communists, which means they're being run into the ground, of course.
And It's very telling that whenever you force people into helplessness that predators
seem to just help themselves and do evil things. And that's especially school,
not school, true. I get ahead of myself. That's especially true in these school
shootings and other gun -free zone shootings. They are required to be unarmed and
they invite predators. That's just the dynamic that has been true since the dawn of
time. And since the fall of man, the week are preyed upon by the strong.
Here's an article by Brett Brady from August 7th. The title of it is "Concho Valley
Schools," and that is in Texas, that allow teachers to carry firearms.
Oh, did I read that right yet? Contra Valley schools allow teachers to carry
firearms. Here's the article.
Texas, I'm sorry, for the 2025 -2026 school year, several school districts in the
Contra Valley have adopted or continued with guardian programs that allow teachers to
carry firearms. Oh good, we have the guardian program here above our county, Florida
too. and I'm very happy for that. It does give me a little bit of, what should I
say? A little bit of good feeling about it. But again,
I still have a young man in the public school system,
and there's no such thing as him being safe enough while he's in that zone required
to be a defenseless victim been waiting. Sorry, that's just the way it is. Anyway,
back to the article.
These are the benefits of a guardian program according to Tom Green, the county
sheriff or to the Tom Green County Sheriff, Nick Hanna. Okay, I read that correctly.
He said it establishes for somebody wanting to attack that they are going to meet
resistance. The fact that these schools are in the county, even if officers are
nearby. Our response time is going to be several minutes away. When we have the
guardians, you're going to buy yourself a little bit of time and that's when the
minutes really matter. Christopher's ISD's sign outside of their campus shows that
they are an armed and trained staff there. As a matter of fact, I'm looking at a
picture of it and that's good. It sure beats the crap out of a gun -free zone
sign, I will tell you that. It sure beats saying, hey, everybody here is unarmed
because that's exactly what gun -free zone signs do. I like these signs.
Yeah, if you come in here, we're going to shoot you. All right, you come in here
to do damage to our students or our faculty, you're going to get shot and you're
going to get shot until we know you're no longer a threat. Yeah, Matter of fact, I
think they ought to put a little caveat at the bottom if you're a male shooter We
will aim for your crotch first that ought to shut any of them down. Anyway Sheriff
Hannah said it is concealed carry. In fact, most of the time most of the people do
not know who the carriers are It's a it's a very conflict of interest type of
thing We have trained them and trained with them on occasion our response team guys
will go out and train with them. The training program is about three to five days
in length. Well, I'm glad to hear that. It needs to be a constant thing, by the
way. And they will do training at the schools. And then they will do training
inside the individual schools. The teachers get the experience of how to respond
inside their own schools and also a tactical understanding of how to approach someone
who is a threat. Well, good. I'm very happy to hear this. Now, this next portion
of this article
is going to make me question the motives of the author, okay?
Because first they say, "Here's a list of all the districts that have guardian
programs." Well, good. I'm glad that you're posting that. And hopefully, any Spree
Shooter will look at it and go, "Okay, I ain't going to go try it there. I don't
want to get shot." Yeah, and here's the list. In Cristobal, uh, Cristobal County,
Paint Rock, Winters, Bronte, Miles, Grape Creek, Sterling City, Junction,
Arianne, Sonora, Schleichker, Robert Lee, Olphen, Wall,
Water Valley, and TLCA. and they all have the guardian program.
Now, okay, I'm glad you posted that. So I wish you hadn't because now they know
that all the other ones are now are not armed. Well, Royce, it doesn't say that.
Well, no, but this article did. Yeah, this article, the guy that wrote this,
whoever wrote this,
Did you think before you wrote this? Because, and I'm not going to read them out
loud, he made a list of all of them that did not have a guardian program. And I'm
not going to read them at all. Matter of fact, I blacked through them to make sure
I didn't mistakenly read them because I don't want to give any potential spree
shooter in Texas the coordinates for his next assault. Yeah,
why would you post that? It's like posting a map of people in the city who don't
own firearms and they don't have any firearms at their home. You are basically
inviting bad people to their home to do evil crap to them. Man, what in the world
would somebody print this without considering for a moment that that they are
essentially telling every spree shooter that can read where all the soft targets are.
Sorry, I'm tripping over myself. I'm so wound up here. Yeah, you're telling them
where the soft targets are. And this is an article that's out there on the web.
Anybody can read it. Wow. Why would you do that?
You're basically pointing out the targets to the next evil scumbag. Why?
Now, a slight shift of gears.
Another tactic by the left to shift gears here now and head for Connecticut
is they like to, if there's not a specific law that they can use against a member
of the gun industry, they craft something, uh, a law or a statute that incurs civil
penalties or they can be sued civilly. And they do this because they say,
well, if we can't sue them and without violating the PLCAA, then we'll,
uh, we'll sue them in such a way, uh, using civil laws, in other words,
civil suit, a lot like, uh, like red flag laws. You don't have a right to an
attorney if you have your guns confiscated in a red flag law seizure.
Why? Because it's a civil violation,
a civil law, a civil action. And so there's a lot of members of the gun industry,
not the gun industry, but the anti -rights industry that are now using this and
they're starting to use it in Connecticut against also members of the gun industry.
Here's an article by Cam Edwards that I'm going to be referencing heavily and it
says Connecticut Governor signs dangerous gun control bill into law and he did. A
new bill signed into law by Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont poses a serious danger
to gun retailers licensed by the state and federal governments who will now be
tasked with implementing unnamed and unspecified "reasonable controls" on their wares
or else face the prospect of costly civil suits that could put them out of
business. Okay, in short, retailers will now be forced to become de facto agents of
the state, if they want to continue doing business there, and that is by doing
every little single thing the state wants, even if that means violating the rights
of people there. And also, again, they're trying to put them out of business here.
It says the new law is modeled after similar statutes already in place, like states
like New Jersey, where Attorney General Matthew and has used the law to sue several
FFLs for supposedly not putting quote unquote "reasonable controls" in place.
Okay, that's a very subjective thing to apply. That's a very subjective application.
Reasonable control. Reasonable to who? Because I'll tell you right now, what's
reasonable to a leftist is not reasonable to a real reasonable person, okay? This is
also some of that commie see, commie do crap. One state does it, so other states
follow suit. So New Jersey did it, now Connecticut is gonna start doing it. He
continues, as John Petrolino outlined in an article from July 28th,
he said in New Jersey, buyers of long gun ammunition do not need to provide any
special documentation to complete a transaction. Good. Buyers, however, must be above
the age of 18. While federal law prohibits disqualified persons from possessing
firearms or ammunition, there is no provision in New Jersey's or the federal law
that requires eligibility to be proven prior to a sale. In the case of handgun or
pistol Ammunition buyers in New Jersey are required to present either a firearm
owner's identification card, pistol purchasers permit, or permit to carry and must be
21 years of age. Yeah, just to freely exercise the right you were born with.
Attorney General Plotkin took action against Butch's gun world because they legally
sold quote over a thousand rounds of AR -15 ammunition and other gun -related products
in cash to an undercover investigator. So what?
You know how many people buy thousands of rounds in the store I work at every
freaking day? Yeah. Platt can further states that Butch's gun world allowed the sale
to occur without making any effort to determine if they could lawfully possess a
firearm. Resulting from the sting operation, Platkin sued Butch's gun world.
Attorney General Matthew Platkin created the statewide affirmative firearms enforcement
office in 2022. Gee, what could possibly go wrong when a government office is
created to further infringe the industry of the right to keep and bear arms? The
office was created in order to execute action against the firearms industry public
safety law. There it is, public safety. Public safety is the reason we're going to
crack down on law -abiding gun retailers and manufacturers and everything else. The
law is a product of a growing tactic to use civil actions against second amendment
related activities such as so -called red flag laws to strip those who are targeted
from retaining any criminal protections. And that's what I said earlier, you don't
have the right to an attorney. So you gotta pay all that out of your own pocket
to get your guns back. Such laws also leave a wide breadth for those leveraging
action to use potentially questionable discretion. No criminal statute was used in the
actions against Butch's gun world. Therefore, they were not allowed any protections
provided under the Constitution. How about that? Yeah, this is a this is a very
nasty and deceitful and underhanded tactic and they're going to keep doing it in all
of the blue states and cities, I guarantee you. So it says on July 22nd,
a decision and summary judgment were issued against Butch's gun world. Superior Court
Judge Robert Moustine wrote in the decision that quote "the facts clearly and
convincingly" bullcrap establish that Butch's gun world as a gun industry member has
failed to establish, implement and enforce reasonable controls on the sale of gun
-related products and under our statute has engaged in conduct which is a public
nuisance by violating the statue in JSA2C blah blah blah blah.
So they are now a public nuisance. Please tell me,
who was harmed? Who was harmed by the purchase of ammo from these people?
Butch's gun world wasn't required under state or federal law to demand customers
prove that they're legally eligible to possess ammunition. Instead, they were and are
subject to a vague and amorphous standard that depends on a judge's determination of
what is, quote unquote, reasonable. Well, that's the thing. Haters of the rights of
others, you know, like those in authority in New Jersey and Connecticut, love vague
laws. You know, much like the ATF and the FBI love to apply vagaries to people,
to force them to confess to bad things. And they love to abuse and twist these
federal laws against those that they have in their tyrannical sites. And the more
vague, the more useful it is to them. Back to the article, this same bit of
lawfare will soon be deployed by Connecticut State Attorney General William Tong,
as well as gun control organizations who will be more than happy to represent
victims of violent crime who are looking to pin the blame on gun and ammo sellers
instead of pulling the trigger. Even if a store complies with federal and state
statute, if a gun and /or ammunition they use, they sell, is used in a crime,
an attorney can, and I say they will, argue that the store should have done more
to prevent harm being done with something they sold to a third party.
That's gonna happen. It's already happened to Butch's gun world, so keep that in
mind. Now, Connecticut, that was all a predicate for this next thing.
Connecticut already does the same thing. They already require ammo buyers to produce
a valid handgun carry permit, a gun sales permit, a long gun or handgun eligibility
certificate, which should be their dead gun burst certificate, or ammunition
certificate before they can purchase any ammunition. How'd you like to jump through
those hoops? How about my friends here in Florida? How would you like to jump
through those hoops just to freely exercise your rights, huh? He says,
but that just begs the question. What other quote unquote reasonable steps are gun
stores supposed to now take to ensure products do not fall into the wrong hands?
Well, it doesn't matter. As long as the law is vague enough, they can say, yep,
you should have known better right here. Well, we think you should have. Well, we
say you should have. So we, you should have thought that way. You should have
thought like we thought. Hmm, background checks aren't enough either apparently,
yeah. Nor is the requirement, the article says, for sellers to show a valid
certificate allowing them to purchase ammunition. So what is reasonable? The law does
not say, and that's the point. Now this is designed people,
these laws in Connecticut and New Jersey. And the ones that disarm anybody anywhere
in America. They have a dampening effect on every part of the firearms industry.
They're in Connecticut, they're in New Jersey, in Illinois. They all have these same
kinds of laws. They have a dampening effect on the industry,
the manufacturer, all the way to the retailer. And this is going to be the impetus
in driving the industry out of the state of Connecticut and also New Jersey. There's
already plenty of manufacturers and other dealers who have left those states because
of the, uh, you know, anti -rights laws. And by the way, that's their intention.
Make no mistake about it. They want to try to crash the industry any way they can.
They want to cut off the supply of arms to the people. And why? Because they're at
war against their own country. They are treasonous traitorous swine who need to be
locked up and have the key thrown away Or just go ahead and bury them under the
jail doesn't matter to me Because anybody trying to disarm you is your enemy Anybody
trying to disarm your entire country is an enemy of that country an enemy of the
state They're an enemy of the Constitution and they should dadgum well be treated as
such All right, stay loaded up. Stay trained up. Make sure you carry trauma trauma
supplies with you Make sure you got extra magazines full of ammo for your carry
pistol. Hopefully you carry a secondary weapon also Stay trained up stay in contact
with your reps and never forget Incoming rounds always have the right of way voice
